Grand Hyatt, Goa: A Luxurious Holiday to remember
Revisiting Goa has been one of my favourite things to do. The sea, the waves, those huge coconut trees, bike rides, laid back life, the sun which never fails to tan your skin and midst of all this? Me. If one could define a perfect weekend, it will be with friends and/or family by the beach. Looking endlessly into the horizon, watching the sun set, letting the waves splash your feet, touching the shore and leaving that oh-so-not so-perfect beautiful shell.
After having spent 6 years in Goa, it has almost become a norm to visit it every year. This year, my annual offsite took me to a part of Goa which I had never explored before – the Grand Hyatt Goa. A beautiful and lavish property set in North Goa, 40 minutes by road from the Goa International Airport, Grand Hyatt is for those who are looking forward to a relaxing and luxurious time in the coastal state.
Made in an architectural style of Indo-Portugese era of 17th Century, Grand Hyatt Goa is spread across 28 acres and is a massive property by the very calm Bambolim Beach.
The entire resort has 7 guest houses and my room was allocated in the 7th. The room had a spacious balcony with the view of swimming pool. In total, the hotel has 314 guestrooms, a royal villa, 7 restaurants, 1 outdoor pool and an indoor swimming pool.
While taking a walk in the hotel premises, this sight left me awestruck! A beautiful dilapidated 17th Century old Chapel… This is one sight that you may not find in any other hotel. Legend has it that this Chapel was built by the local fishermen as a place to worship. Till late, locals come to pray at this chapel. However, according to Historians, the Chapel was built in 1613 by Gonsalo Pinto da Fonseca when Bambolim was declared as a separate parish.
Other than this the resort also has a Casino and Shamiana Spa to add onto a beautiful experience at the property. Not to forget the complimentary breakfast at the Grand Hyatt is a delicious spread to savour!
Note: If you are travelling your kids, there is ‘Camp Hyatt’ to indulge in various activities like Dance, Art, Craft, movies, etc. to keep them occupied while you spend time at the Bambolim beach or the pool at the hotel.
Have you been to Grand Hyatt? Don’t forget to share your experience with us!
